hopeleslyobvious Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 What was Lydman thinking there?
Corp000085 Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 hey guys... sorry for the late entrance, but i had class. great goal by pomenville and a decent 2nd period. dumont looked to have gotten up slowly after crashing the net
hopeleslyobvious Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 Uh oh, Dumont went hard into the net. I thought I heard Rick say he was slow getting up.
mphs mike Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 We definately took back the momentum. It was a much better period but both teams look like they are reaching for (and often missing) the puck instead of skating to it. Miller has played very well but this game may take 5 or 6 to win.
Corp000085 Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 i forgot to type crash "into" the net.... i.e. tipping an old fat lady off the bridge table.

I would hate to have night class and miss a bunch of games.
PTS Posted February 1, 2006 Author Report Posted February 1, 2006 Was that a "Let's Go Buffalo" chant I heard with 55 seconds left in the second. Sounds like it was and it was then drained out by some crappy Trashers chant.

Corp000085 Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 Do you at least have a DVR? I would hate to have night class and miss a bunch of games. I have tivo... i hate to say it (i really do) but school's a priority over hockey season. With that said, i don't have a class after 8pm, so i miss the first period if anything. Classes will be over by the 2nd round of the playoffs though, so even if the sabres aren't in, i'll be able to watch a bunch of hockey. Â on a side note, if anyone has directv center ice, i'd love some input. I notice that the timeslot for the 7pm games goes till 1am. fast forward to the first round of the playoffs. when the obligitory quadruple overtime game happens, does the broadcast cut out at 1am, or do they extend the timeslot till 4am or something for the playoffs?
LabattBlue Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 WTF is up with the cameraman when Atlanta goes on the PP. You see the ice and about half the crowd. Thanks for the super wide angle shot, but I'd focus more on following the puck. <_<

Haha, class has priority for me too, but I will admit I am starting to get lazy because I finish in May!

You won't lose the game. I've never paid attention to how they show the timeslots on the guide for OT games, but if the game is going on, you will get to see it. There is no "Heidi" in hockey.
Corp000085 Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 Haha, class has priority for me too, but I will admit I am starting to get lazy because I finish in May! i finish next year... i've patented the art of maintaining my college status as an exponential function of time (its been 10 years off and on). Â next december i'm done! then they can bury me face down so everyone who doubted me can kiss my ass!
Corp000085 Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 ok, they held the puck for an entire minute on a delayed penalty on atlanta. huge pressure and now the sabres get a new PP
Corp000085 Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 no penalty? are you fuggin kidding me? that hit looked rather high. Â Â although, upon further review, the thrasher guy did not get his elbow up till after the hit while he was following through... so it was indeed legal, i'm just too lazy to delete the first line of this post
hopeleslyobvious Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 I had the same initial reaction. And while he came a long way for the check, I don't think he charged him.
Corp000085 Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 i thought elbow from the behind the net replay, but the side view clearly showed that the hit was a textbook open ice shoulder check. kalinin should have had his head up.

Corp000085 Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 scoooooooooooooooooooores!!! gaustad!!!!!!!!!!!
hopeleslyobvious Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 I think Pyatt has had a good first game back tonight.
JujuFish Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 Did Vanek or Drury score Buffalo's second goal? Originally, Drury was given credit, but now I see it's changed to Vanek.

hopeleslyobvious Posted February 1, 2006 Report Posted February 1, 2006 Ha, Vanek really took Boulton into the boards.
