Danny Gare's hat trick and Don Edwards' 25 saves highlight a 9-0 pasting of the Penguins at the Aud. It's the biggest shutout win in Sabres' history.

 

February 7, 1998

In the last game before the Olympic break, the Sabres beat the Habs at the Molson Centre 4-1 to extend their unbeaten streak to nine games (5-0-4). Brian Holzinger, Jason Woolley, Mike Wilson and Alexei Zhitnik score to support Dominik Hasek's 33 saves.
