Corp000085 Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 7pm Ryan Miller needs to win this game. I don't care how its done, but Miller needs a victory. If he doesn't, we're up the creek bad... It's one thing for Kalinin to play like crap, but when the franchise goalie plays bad, that's another story. Just win!!!
eball Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 The good news is that Atlanta hasn't exactly been tearing it up lately. For all of the gloom and doom talk surrounding our Sabres, the fact remains they've had 3rd period leads in five of the last six games. They're not broken, just a little damaged. Tonight and tomorrow are certainly big games -- hopefully they can get it in gear.
Mr.Christopher Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Agreed. Will they play Biron against Ottawa tommorrow night? I wouldn't be surprised to see that.
Brettzky Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 I know Atlanta hasn't been playing well lately, they lost to Philly over the weekend. That makes me think they're going to come out flying tonight. It's in Atlanta, and they're going up against the number one seed in the East. I think Spacek's out tonight again, so I'm guessing Paetsch will get a bunch of ice time (at least I hope so, instead of Kalinin). I look for Marty tomorrow, but either way, Sabres always get crushed by Ottawa in the regular season.

What about Novotny, he was a game time decision last game so I'm guessing he is going to play tonight.
Fronz1103 Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Agreed. Will they play Biron against Ottawa tommorrow night? I wouldn't be surprised to see that. This depends. I think, if the sabres win tonight w/ Miller in net, then Miller starts tomorrow, however, If he loses again (by two goals or more) I think we'll see Biron. However, I think the sabres will come around... they will most likely have alot of fans in the crowd compared to atlantas 10 fans in attnedance. So a nice road win is just what the doctor ordered! So lets get this one and start to once again pull away from the rest of the conference!
DrDahlinstein Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 we will probably have a couple thousand Sabres fans in the arena tonight. anyone watching on tv, keep an ear out for the Lets Go Sabres chants. this will probably be like another home game for them. lets just hope the boys show up for all 3 periods.
Corp000085 Posted February 6, 2007 Author Report Posted February 6, 2007 according to today's BN, the entire forward group will be healthy and the normal lines will be back... Vanek will be with roy and max, gaustad will be with drury and kotalik and novotny will center mair and paille/peters.
Bmwolf21 Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 I think Miller's good and pissed off, like in last year's playoffs when people questioned his focus during the Philly(?) series, and I think he plays strong tonight. Is it game time yet? Man this day is dragging...

JujuFish Posted February 6, 2007 Report Posted February 6, 2007 Miller's bringing his A-game tonight. I say he makes 2 or 3 ridiculous saves.
inkman Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 Miller's bringing his A-game tonight. I say he makes 2 or 3 ridiculous saves. ...and they will still lose. :(
SDS Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 Miller's bringing his A-game tonight. I say he makes 2 or 3 ridiculous saves. it's not the 2-3 ridiculous saves... it's the unscreened shot from 40 ft on the glove side that matters.
JujuFish Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 Well that stinks. Oh well, it was still nice to get a PPG after a good PK. 1-1
SDS Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 well, Ryan got that one out early. No need to wait for the 3rd period when he can let those through in the 1st.
Sweet Baboo Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 that was a weak goal to let in 3 fans cheered...the only 3 thrasher fans that showed up
hopeleslyobvious Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 Very nice save by Miller on the 2 on 1.
hopeleslyobvious Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 nice save miller!!! Congrats on your 1,000th post.
inkman Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 Am I the only one who saw the balding fan whaling on the glass, literally trying to push it into the players after that scrum?
bob_sauve28 Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 Bad things man, I mean bad things...lets get it back here
blugold43 Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 this effing team is starting to really piss me off.
smith Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 is there a term for a goalie that only makes ridiculous saves, but can't save the soft ones??
Bmwolf21 Posted February 7, 2007 Report Posted February 7, 2007 Not defending him, he should have made the stop. The only thing I noticed was that Ryan looked surprised by it, like he didn't expect him to shoot from there or that maybe the defenseman screened him a little. Still should have been stopped.
