inkman Posted January 30, 2006 Report Posted January 30, 2006 I don't visit the "official" site very often, and I don't post over there, but they can't be seriously polling people about this garbage are they? What is next, banning the slapshot because too many players are getting hit with pucks. Maybe they can switch to that orange soft puck that we used in gym class. Just checked. It's actually there. Almost 1000 voters want to ban the hip check. Did anyone here vote? I did, to keep it (duh). Good news is that nearly 5000 agree with me.
DrunkenSabre Posted January 30, 2006 Report Posted January 30, 2006 i agree with u, and i voted to state so. stupid bloody poll
Saber61 Posted January 30, 2006 Report Posted January 30, 2006 yea... its kinda silly... if this hadn't happened to a sabre player then we'd never even be up in arms about this... there'd be a day of conversation and then it would be over... we should ban getting screwed by goal judges... thats what we should do.
LabattBlue Posted January 30, 2006 Report Posted January 30, 2006 The poll questions are just as ridiculous on buffalobills.com. If you can't come up with anything better, just eliminate that feature from the websites. <_<
Stoner Posted January 30, 2006 Report Posted January 30, 2006 Bonus This Day in Sabres History: March 23, 1989 A day after the Clint Malarchuk injury, the Sabres newsletter is mailed out. It has a survey question asking fans if they favor banning skates and having the players run around in those rubber bottomed slipped socks instead.
Allan in MD Posted January 31, 2006 Report Posted January 31, 2006 Don't ban the hip check; ban Kasparaitus. Scott Stevens was the best hip checker in the league for many years, but he was not an assassin.
