bottlecap Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 Now that Tallinder is back, (hopefully for good) it's time to give this old warhorse a rest. Send him to Florida for a few days or something. The guy is going to be valuable down the stretch but he should be relegated to a role similar to James Patrick when he was playing. Don't forget, he's 38, with a heart ailment, and it's tough enough to keep up with these 20 year old kids. Paetsch is capable enough to play on a regular basis.
That Aud Smell Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 i like paetsch on wing, too (hell, i like the kid more and more no matter where he plays) -- but zed's right: you have to rest teppo proactively in february and march -- don't wait for a pulled groin, etc. to happen before realizing he needs a break.
Larry Playfair Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 agreed - he is lookig a step slow too, so lets ease up and save him for the real season.
Corp000085 Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 Teppo needs a full playoff beard... rest him now so he has a chance to grow one... Not no stinkin Woolley Goatee either! I want a Grizzly Dumont Beard!
Eleven Posted February 1, 2007 Report Posted February 1, 2007 I'm with Zed. Good call; I said the same thing to a buddy of mine last night.
FogBat Posted February 2, 2007 Report Posted February 2, 2007 Teppo needs a full playoff beard... rest him now so he has a chance to grow one... Not no stinkin Woolley Goatee either! I want a Grizzly Dumont Beard! After seeing last year's playoffs, Teppo can't really grow a good beard. However, his was better than Briere's peach fuzz. I know that's really harsh, but Briere had as much facial hair as I have fingers and toes. BTW, regardless of what you think of Mike Commodore of the Hurricanes, his was one of the best playoff beards I've ever seen. (Is he related to Carrot Top the comedian?)
