By afternoon, the wind is gusting at an average of 46 miles an hour. The Blizzard of '77 is on. Will the Sabres make it to Montreal for a game the next day? January 28, 2000 Martin Biron makes 21 saves to record his fifth shutout of the season and second against Ottawa in a 1-0 win at home over the Senators. James Patrick scores the game's only goal. Dominik Hasek is still out with a groin injury.

Dominik Hasek is still out with a groin injury. Ooh, ooh, ooh. My money says a bit more than 1/2 of them do, but the "Voice of the Sabres" doesn't. I also believe that for a guy who couldn't (or wouldn't) pronounce sked-u-ule, he was a resourceful mo-fo. (Although, I honestly believe he would and did pronounce skool correctly.)
