Corp000085 Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 7pm Go sabres! time to rack up another win against the leafs. There's some fresh bad blood with the whole belak thing, so its time to kick their butts. the leafs are rather banged up so we'll hopefully get a victory... hopefully.
mphs mike Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 Are you ready for tomorrow night Corp? The Sabres haven't even showered yet. HGere's hoping Drury is at full strength - I'm not sure where in the leg he got hit but it will really be swollen tomorrow.
Mr.Christopher Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 Belak's statement is a bit like what one of Montreal's player said early in the season that Montreal would break Buffalo's streak. Seeing that it comes from Belak, who plays 1-2 shifts a game for about 30 seconds or a minute, I'm not concerned about what he says. Same goes for the guy on Montreal, unless it comes from a captain or influential player, it won't do much.
slugspirit Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 It was Niinimaa who said it earlier. ...and we shut him up.
X. Benedict Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 Sabres are 6-2 in their last 8 games playing on 0 days rest.
That Aud Smell Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 Sabres are 6-2 in their last 8 games playing on 0 days rest. fascinating. of those 6 wins on zero days rest, do you know how many followed a loss? (i don't.)

DWarner Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 Martin Biron starts in goal for Buffalo. Chris Drury, who took a puck off his right foot Wednesday night, was slated to undergo precautionary x-rays on his foot. He did return to the game and head coach Lindy Ruff expects him to play this evening. - TSN
LabattBlue Posted January 11, 2007 Report Posted January 11, 2007 The Sabres will score 2 PP goals and win 5-2. Sundin takes about 100 "after the whistle" cheap shots in the 3rd period once the game is out of reach.
mrjsbu96 Posted January 12, 2007 Report Posted January 12, 2007 i love briere, but that penalty he just got mccabe to take is why people hate soccer. he dove. look, i will always fault the the guy who took the penalty b/c he puts himself in the situation to have the ref make a call, but that was not the kind of x-check that sends a guy sprawling. and i say that as someone who loves briere and wishes nothing but transmitted diseases to mccabe...
TheMadCap Posted January 12, 2007 Report Posted January 12, 2007 Having never been to a game in BUffalo, is it normal to see that many accursed Loafs fans in attendence???
Corp000085 Posted January 12, 2007 Author Report Posted January 12, 2007 ugh... i hate when the sabres completely fall asleep
Mr.Christopher Posted January 12, 2007 Report Posted January 12, 2007 Having never been to a game in BUffalo, is it normal to see that many accursed Loafs fans in attendence??? Yes, although a couple years ago there were a lot more.
GrimFandango Posted January 12, 2007 Report Posted January 12, 2007 Having never been to a game in BUffalo, is it normal to see that many accursed Loafs fans in attendence??? Been a few years since i was at a leafs sabres game, but all throughout the 90's and the early 00's i would say the crowd was almost 50-50 Sabres and leafs fans. (Probably just felt that way, may have been 60-40ish, but when there is that many, it feels like an even house)
ThePolishSabre Posted January 12, 2007 Report Posted January 12, 2007 Atta boy, Lydman. <_< was that lydman who just gave that puck up on the goal?
Mr.Christopher Posted January 12, 2007 Report Posted January 12, 2007 Finally a powerplay goal. Vanek is great in front of the net.
Corp000085 Posted January 12, 2007 Author Report Posted January 12, 2007 FINALLY! a sweet PP goal... no garbage there! briere to spacek to vanek. vanek gets the goal as he was crosschecked IN THE CREASE (no penalty called of course). 1-1
Bmwolf21 Posted January 12, 2007 Report Posted January 12, 2007 was that lydman who just gave that puck up on the goal? I believe it was, and that was who Lorentz laid the blame on after the goal....
Corp000085 Posted January 12, 2007 Author Report Posted January 12, 2007 I believe it was, and that was who Lorentz laid the blame on after the goal.... for as "great" as our defense is, top to bottom, the only two guys who have inpressed me are campbell and tallinder. the rest have been, quite frankly, very dissapointing.
