The third goal, before Malkin stickhandled all around the zone, then got open for the goal, was offsides when the puck entered the zone.

 

That was my initial reaction when I saw it in real time.

 

I then slow-mo'd it, and sure enough, it was offsides. Close, but offsides nonetheless.

 

It was also scored while we were shorthanded because of a dumb penalty.

 

Too Many Men and Delay of Game always kill the Sabres.

despite what people think, refs are just people and bound to make mistakes. It's part of the sport, its part of pretty much every sport. I remember a goal in particular that the sabres got versus the hurricanes. One linesman had his hand up for icing, so the canes defenseman touched the puck and stopped playing. The sabres grabbed it and scored. so it goes both ways.

 

and that too many men penalty, i think we were cheating by making a not so legal line change and it didnt pay off. better luck next time perhaps

If the Sabres had outplayed the Pens all night and got jobbed, I'd care. Frankly, the better team won last night with or without a bad call. "It's over Johnny...OVER!"
