wjag Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 After a nice December month of T-Th-Sat games, January is all over the week and returns the back-to-back games on four occasions. Games against the Bhawks, Avs and Canucks bring a taste of the other conference. Looks like seven games against division foes with 3 against Boston (2H, 1A), and then Ottawa (A), Montreal (A) and Toronto (1H, 1A). Just when you got use to T-TH-SAT its now W-F-SAT. Throw in the annual waste of hockey time (aka the All Star game) and you get a messy month with seven games in 11 days. I see this Ottawa game as a good benchmark game. Sabres have collected 11 of last 12 points and face a depleted Ottawa team that is still finding ways to win. Ottawa has our number this year and it would be nice to dash any morsel of optimism they may currently have.
rickshaw Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 Gotta beat the Sens. Just have to. The Sabres need to be angry on Wed night.
blugold43 Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 how's this for insight: this week's a bitch!
wjag Posted January 3, 2007 Author Report Posted January 3, 2007 Almost a perfect off night for the Sabres: Losers: Carolina, Atlanta, NYI (only cause Philly snagged 'em), Devils, and dem Ducks Spoiler by winning: Montreal
