bob_sauve28 Posted December 31, 2006 Report Posted December 31, 2006 Have you noticed how the Sabres are dealing with the four men back? They now slowely move the puck up man by man at stages of the ice, first past the lone fore checker and then to the enemy blue line and pump it in. They have stopped trying to attack it with speed and now slow the game down to make a pass through the neutral zone. Not sure if we are breaking through the trap crap, but at least it isn't allowing the other teams to counter attack by exploiting a turnover. And we are still scoring off the rush when other teams press us, as in last night. So maybe the point is to not let our team get hurt trying to do the impossible of breaking through four men back and making the other team try and attack where we can force them to make mistakes. I dunno, just a thought
drnkirishone Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 Good thing we had all thous years of practise during the clutching and grabbing years to beat the trap :)
