Corp000085 Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 i don't think the sabres could hit a drunk hooker on these power play chances, let alone the net.
Kevbeau Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 i don't think the sabres could hit a drunk hooker on these power play chances, let alone the net.
Corp000085 Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 holy crap. miller with the save of the year on that breakaway
hopeleslyobvious Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 My neighbors must think I'm nuts, I let out a big yell when Miller made that save.
JujuFish Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 holy crap. miller with the save of the year on that breakaway Man, Miller just keeps impressing me with his play on breakaways.
The_Swannie_House Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 man...Edmonton is freakin dirty!!!!!
letsgobuffalo45 Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 Beautiful save by Miller as Corp said. Also, I think they've been at even strength for about 2 seconds in this period, ridiculous. I hate these games that see a penalty called every other play, kills the flow. LETS GO BUFFALO!
hopeleslyobvious Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 i don't think the sabres could hit a drunk hooker on these power play chances, let alone the net. Sooner or later they will score. Especially if Edmonton keeps giving them chances.
Corp000085 Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 yeah, this is a dirty team and a very poor announcing squad. Its one thing to be a homer. It's another to completely discredit the opponent
PTS Posted January 17, 2006 Author Report Posted January 17, 2006 Man, our power play will fall to 10th after tonight's game. It's hard to watch. Hopefully Lindy & Co. can set them up well to start the third. If they don't score, Edmonton is gonna take momentum away sooner or later.
Corp000085 Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 i don't know if this had been discussed before in page or 2 of this thread, but that did not look like a dirty hit by mckee... Well, let me put it this way: if mckee were good enough to make that hit look clean, he'd have more career goals.
hopeleslyobvious Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 yeah, this is a dirty team and a very poor announcing squad. Its one thing to be a homer. It's another to completely discredit the opponent Smyth should have been called for hooking towards the end of the period there. Afinigenov skated past him, Smyth got his stick on the body, and Afinigenov came to a quick halt...Can't fake that.
PTS Posted January 17, 2006 Author Report Posted January 17, 2006 Just checked on NHL.com ... 1 for 10 on the PP. That's horrid. I gotta bad feeling. I'm sure PASabreFan has it as well!

Well, let me put it this way: if mckee were good enough to make that hit look clean, he'd have more career goals. Yeah, I agree. I looked back on the replay and it seems Hmesky tried to avoid McKee at the last second and caught one in the gourd.
PTS Posted January 17, 2006 Author Report Posted January 17, 2006 Anyone see Ovenkin's goal tonight? Un-fracking-believable! He is something special. He's the definitely the next Great One.
Corp000085 Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 yeah that was one awesome goal. I love how the national media gets hosed again... their anointed bruschiesque player has been proven to be a kid playing a man's game on a bush team, while the other guy is playing awesome
hopeleslyobvious Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 yeah that was one awesome goal. I love how the national media gets hosed again... their anointed bruschiesque player has been proven to be a kid playing a man's game on a bush team, while the other guy is playing awesome I stand up for Crosby a lot...but I think it is unfair to compare him and Ovechkin, 3 important years seperate them.
Corp000085 Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 I'm not ready to write off crosby, but there's no way that a 17 year old kid has what i takes a this point. This is not 1977 when gretzky was 18... you need muscle and toughness that you just don't have when you're 17. Ovechkin is the real deal right now though. I'd love to see what crosby has to offer after a couple years in the league and with a better team.
Corp000085 Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 ok, screw ovechkin... bring on AFINOGENOV!!! 2-1 buffalo on the PP that stupid cross up play that works once every 100 chances finally worked. Afinogenov truly is an enigma. (by the way, i'd love to know the real story behind his "injury" 3 years ago
Kevbeau Posted January 17, 2006 Report Posted January 17, 2006 That's twice pronger's gotten toasted for a goal.
