\GoBillsInDallas/ Posted December 23, 2006 Report Posted December 23, 2006 Game Day Thread from LetsGoBlues.com.
Corp000085 Posted December 23, 2006 Report Posted December 23, 2006 does tallinder play tonight?? what about spacek? hopefully we can keep the momentum going. the PP finally began to work last game so hopefully we can keep it going tonight. hopefully the sabres can turn up the volume tonight and roll again.
Mr.Christopher Posted December 23, 2006 Report Posted December 23, 2006 I think Spacek is going to play tonight. Tallinder probably will play tonight too.
MBD Posted December 23, 2006 Report Posted December 23, 2006 I say dress them but only play them if you need them.
holly Posted December 23, 2006 Report Posted December 23, 2006 who sits? paetsch has played well in my opinion. maybe give kalinin a rest, with his sore groin?
DWarner Posted December 23, 2006 Report Posted December 23, 2006 http://www.hockeybuzz.com/blog.php?post_id=4418 sounds like Tree is sitting
Corp000085 Posted December 24, 2006 Report Posted December 24, 2006 biron is starting, as per kevin sylvester on the pregame
wjag Posted December 24, 2006 Report Posted December 24, 2006 STL started to outplay the good guys there. Wrist shot by Backman Buffalo: STL: :death:
GrimFandango Posted December 24, 2006 Report Posted December 24, 2006 STL started to outplay the good guys there. Wrist shot by Backman Buffalo: STL: :death: is it just me or does the " :death: " look like a thong when first glancing at the screen?
wjag Posted December 24, 2006 Report Posted December 24, 2006 Just an awful first period for the Sabres. Out shot, outplayed and out scored.. Seems like most of the play has been in the Sabres zone..
JujuFish Posted December 24, 2006 Report Posted December 24, 2006 I think Buffalo will come out strong in the second and score a quick one. Then we'll see how the Blues will react.
Orange Seats Posted December 24, 2006 Report Posted December 24, 2006 First Period Thoughts: 1. Blues are doing too good of a job with forechecking. Buffalo needs to figure out how to get the puck into the zone and retain the ability to make a play... to that end, they must stop doing the dump and run. 2. Is it just me, or are the officials getting in the way a little more than usual tonight (by getting tangled up in the play, not by calling stuff)?
wjag Posted December 24, 2006 Report Posted December 24, 2006 Buffalo's is back on their heels. Their passing is not crisp and they seem to skate into two Blues D-men everytime they enter the zone. Bad bounces around the goal haven't helped either. Not often you seen Campbell with a bad turnover, but he had a major one that almost was cashed in. Danny on a rush through the middle to Hecht. Hecht drives it home... PRETTY PLAY!!! Buffalo:  STL: :death:
wjag Posted December 24, 2006 Report Posted December 24, 2006 Must be this end of the ice. Sabres have owned the play in the Blues zone this period. Hope this lopsided ice doesn't hold up for the third as well..
wjag Posted December 24, 2006 Report Posted December 24, 2006 Briere steals one in the zone and sends it to Pommer who backhands it by the goalie. Buffalo:   Blues: :death:
matter2003 Posted December 24, 2006 Report Posted December 24, 2006 I honestly can't see how they could lose to these guys---I mean even when the Blues work hard they are just dreadful... this is what a bad team looks like...
wjag Posted December 24, 2006 Report Posted December 24, 2006 Total role reversal for that period. Danny is playing really hard and seems to be around the net. Where is Vanek in this game? He doesn't seem to be involved in much so far.
Sabresince70 Posted December 24, 2006 Report Posted December 24, 2006 Tallinder looks real comfortable, steps right back in and settles that blue line. McKee's interview after second = total class.
inkman Posted December 24, 2006 Report Posted December 24, 2006 Mckee's play up until this point=not so much
wjag Posted December 24, 2006 Report Posted December 24, 2006 Tallinder looks real comfortable, steps right back in and settles that blue line. McKee's interview after second = total class. I agree. He is a Sabre in a Blue's uniform. That was obvious.
