Corp000085 Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 http://sports.espn.go.com/nhl/news/story?id=2697403 Roenick was benched so he flipped his lid. I personally can't stand either of them, so this is great drama! best trash talk moment, from any sport, EVER!
Sabresince70 Posted December 14, 2006 Report Posted December 14, 2006 At 1-5-6 and a -9 he would be a healthy scratch on most teams. Maybe he can't find a skate sharpener again.

Yeah, he's definitely the problem on that team. Gretzky has proven to be an absolute disaster as both a team builder and head coach. If he weren't part owner he'd have been unemployed a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng time ago.

Toe Blake comes to mind and I am sure there were a couple of others, but they are far and few between. When you see the game at a different speed than everyone else, it is VERY hard to teach that.
Bmwolf21 Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 That is true - a lot of the successful coaches who are ex-players were middle-of-the-road guys, talent-wise, because they in their career they needed to learn as much as they could about strategies, how to improve themselves, etc.
Two or less Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 At 1-5-6 and a -9 he would be a healthy scratch on most teams. Maybe he can't find a skate sharpener again. Yeah i just saw his stats, wow... wtf is he compalining about?? LOL what a joke JR is.
Hawerchuk Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 Gretzky might not be the best behind the bench as he was on the ice, but JR is waaaaaaaay past his prime and needs to look at the mirror. He is playing terrible hockey and he should be benched. Freakin whinner!!
Bmwolf21 Posted December 15, 2006 Report Posted December 15, 2006 Loved it when he complained about being left off the Olympic team...although he couldn't have done any worse than guys like Tkachuk or Guerin did...
