Monkeygirl Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 As per TSN.Ca Ottawa Senators forward Peter Schaefer has been fined $2,500 by the league for waving a towel on the bench in Wednesday's 6-2 loss to the Washington Capitals, in affect surrendering to the officials. Well, I'm glad to see the league has redeemed itself by fining double the amount it did to Ovechkin for potentially breaking someone's neck. You can hit from behind, but don't you DARE waive a towel at the referees. Let that be a lesson to all you subversive ruffians out there.
frisky Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 I wonder how they rationalize these things to themselves when they determine how much a person gets. Another example of illogical thinking. Maybe they need to create some kind of actuarial tables for these things so that the thinking component is removed.
Kristian Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 Another clear message sent by the NHL, in case anyone were having doubts. "We are indeed a bush league."
