LabattBlue Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 From hockeyrumors.blogspot.com where the author has a lot of credibility.... letsgobuffalo: Any news about the Sabres, and/or Satan? Eklund> Satan is going to be out of there....But a buffalo source saif they will go hard after Aaron Miller...."The Sabres need a stay at home D-Man. The Sabres can afford His $2.6 ticket. McKee and Warrener took the Sabres to The Cup in 99; Miller and McKee might get a chance to do it this season." If the Sabres could re-sign Zhitnik and get Miller the blue line corps would be in great shape. If not... McKee, Kalinin, Tallinder & Miller would be an above average top 4 with Fitzpatrick, Campbell, Brown & Campbell rounding out your top 8. I saw Jillson play twice for Rochester when they were at HSBC last year and he did not impress me at all. At this point I'd rank Janik ahead of him.
Corp000085 Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 aaron's my boy... hope they bring him home...
silvermike Posted July 30, 2005 Report Posted July 30, 2005 Perfect move, I think. Solid player, easy fan favorite, need position. I think Todd Marchant could really round it out after that, he's not supposed to be back in Columbus next year.
Hawerchuk Posted July 30, 2005 Report Posted July 30, 2005 C'mon. Is Jillson really that bad? I am still pretty high on this kid. I know SJ was hurt to get rid of him. Overall, he has not had any time to gell with the Sabres. Lets see what happens in camp. I think Brian Campbell is the worst. Dump him. I'd love to get A.Miller. A Buffalo native too.
ricogarion Posted July 31, 2005 Report Posted July 31, 2005 Jillson is just a child and will need time to grow he will be a very useful NHL'er
deluca67 Posted July 31, 2005 Report Posted July 31, 2005 Miller is nice. But I'd rather have Zhitnik. I heard talk that Zhitnik wants to go where he can win a cup. I'm not sure what that says about the Sabres and the feelings in the locker room. If the best player and team leader doesn't see a bright future for this team? Just makes me wonder.
LabattBlue Posted July 31, 2005 Author Report Posted July 31, 2005 Jillson is just a child and will need time to grow he will be a very useful NHL'er Jillson turned 25 in July. Hardly what I would call a child. More like a player who is at the crossroads of his career.
