"I think it's good we are getting out on the road for an extended period of time with the Xs and Os and all the teaching we have done and the time we have spent trying to teach our team concept," Tortorella said. "I think when you go on the road and are together with no wives, no babies, no girlfriends, no boyfriends or whatever it may be, you end up being together, and that's where your chemistry starts coming together in the locker room."

Yeah so? He realizes that everyone isn't the same. It's kinda refreshing to read that.

It is refreshing. It's 2006. There's no reason for any professional athlete to be in the closet. I mean, do the math. .10 x 20 x 30. That's a lot of gay hockey players.

Ovechkin could be one of them, the way he hits it from behind. :)

I think he's talking about... Vincent Lecavalier. lol

Has been best friends with Vincent Lecavalier since the age of 14, when they met at Athol Murray College of Notre Dame, a boarding school with an excellent hockey program in Saskatchewan, Canada. They were roommates and soon became good friends as they were both the youngest players on their hockey team but yet most talented. Since then they have gone on to being teammates in the Rimouski Oceanic and Tampa Bay Lightning. Lecavalier was also responsible for suggesting to the Lightning management after they had drafted him to draft Richards. They are currently living in adjoining buildings in Tampa Bay. Both also shared the same house designer for a while.
