PTS Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 Just got this alert at work... SABRES AND HURRICANES GAME ON APRIL 18 ADDED TO OLN SCHEDULE BUFFALO, N.Y. (January 5, 2006) --- The Buffalo Sabres today announced that their final game of the regular season -- Tuesday, April 18 at Carolina (7 p.m.) -- will now be telecast nationally on the Outdoor Life Network (OLN). The game was previously scheduled to air on MSG Networks. As a result of this switch, Buffalo?s home game on Wednesday, March 22 vs. Carolina (7 p.m.) has been added to the MSG broadcast schedule. This game was not originally scheduled to be televised.
Taro T Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 Cool. Now if we can just get about 3 games added to NBC's schedule ...
PTS Posted January 5, 2006 Author Report Posted January 5, 2006 I'm sure most of us don't have OLN so it's not that great. I doubt this team will skid but if they need to win that last game to get in or more likely get a better playoff position, most fans in WNY won't see the game.
Taro T Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 That is a valid point. But with the game on OLN, people can either go to a friend's house or a local pub to watch the game. With a game blacked out on MSG, you either buy a ticket (which right now is pretty scarce for most games) or listen on radio as CI has blacked out 2 of the 3 MSG no-shows to date.
