Two or less Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 Not suprised, Western NY can't compete with votes from all over Canada.
apuszczalowski Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 How is Fleury winning in the Goaltending section?
LabattBlue Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 I think we are looking at having Max, Briere & Campbell at the all star game regardless of the voting. In addition, an outside chance of either Drury, Vanek or Miller. I don't know if Vanek qualifies for the "young stars" game or if they even have it still.
Rick Vaive Horse Collar Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 30 goals for vanek at the Break should get him there
Two or less Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 How is Fleury winning in the Goaltending section? Same reason as to why Boumeester is winning on defense.... .... lots and lots of votes from Canada.
ko12010 Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 How is Fleury winning in the Goaltending section? exactly what I was thinking The answer is not that he is the most deserving, it is just that his fans are really going to work with voting! I'm going to try for 20 times a day until the ballots close. I just think our guys deserve some National recogniton for once.
DWarner Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 wtf, now when you write someone in, it takes one of your forward selections away? it wasn't like that before was it?
JD SabreFan Posted November 29, 2006 Author Report Posted November 29, 2006 wtf, now when you write someone in, it takes one of your forward selections away? it wasn't like that before was it? I dont think so, I just noticed that myself.. but keep voting!!
ThePolishSabre Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 Tomas Vanek at 39,355 ?? WTF? do the people of Austria know about this voting???

I'm going to try for 20 times a day until the ballots close. I just think our guys deserve some National recogniton for once. I don't think thats the reason, Canadian fans don't really care about the 2 of them, it would explain it if Raycroft or Tucker were leading the votes though.
gregkash Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 Tomas Vanek at 39,355 ?? WTF? do the people of Austria know about this voting??? There's two austrians in the NHL... It's obviously not the most hockey rich nation, i'm not sure they care.
Two or less Posted November 29, 2006 Report Posted November 29, 2006 There's two austrians in the NHL... It's obviously not the most hockey rich nation, i'm not sure they care. Last year someone posted tv rankings from around the world during the playoffs, and i think Austria was the highest in Europe, because they were watching Vanek. I forget the link, but there was several things to indicate that Vanek and hockey are popular in Austria.
