DWarner Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 Who's gonna be there? I haven't gotten tickets yet if anyone has an extra or hasn't gotten any either. Devils are running a deal if you use code "NJDEVS" to get the tix for that game.
hopeleslyobvious Posted November 27, 2006 Report Posted November 27, 2006 I'll be there, but I already have my tickets. If the attendance is anything like the 2 Sabres Devils games last year, I will see you there.
JujuFish Posted November 28, 2006 Report Posted November 28, 2006 I might be willing to go. But I'd have to use public transportation. Is there a way to get to the arena from riding the train?
DWarner Posted November 28, 2006 Author Report Posted November 28, 2006 From Port Authority's 41st Street Bus Terminal in Manhattan The Port Authority Bus Terminal in Manhattan offers load and go bus service for all Devils games. It's just a twenty-minute bus ride from the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Service begins 2 hours prior to each game. All guests get dropped off conveniently at Gate C at the Continental Airlines Arena. Return service to NY begins immediately after the game ends. Tickets can be purchased on board each bus. For more information call (800) 772-2222 I don't think the arena is (safe) walking distance from the Newark Penn Station, but I don't think a cab would be too much.

The arena isn't anywhere near Penn Station.
DWarner Posted November 28, 2006 Author Report Posted November 28, 2006 Even Newark PS? I know that's 50% of the reason they are building the new one where they are, correct? To be closer to the train station.

To be closer to the train station. The new arena is going to be in the vicinity of the train station. The Meadowlands is probably around a 20 minute drive, with no traffic.
DWarner Posted December 12, 2006 Author Report Posted December 12, 2006 Late bump. I still don't have a ticket.
hopeleslyobvious Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 Sorry, I only have 2, and one of my friends is using the other one.
JujuFish Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 Yeah, turns out I have a final Wednesday morning at 10. I won't be going.
Strow Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 Won't be going to this game. hopeleslyobvious try not to start fights this time around.
hopeleslyobvious Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 Won't be going to this game. hopeleslyobvious try not to start fights this time around. I didn't start any fights. I was just there to watch the game and the guys next to me were :censored: and running their mouths the whole game. Nothing came of it. By the way, that's the 2nd time something like that happened to me at a Devils game. At the home opener last year some guy was threatening me on the way out for wearing a Sabres jersey (which didn't make much sense since the Devils were playing Pittsburgh that night).
Smitheo Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 There are a LOT of people from the NYCBBB going. Just buy a $20 ticket at the door and look/listen for the large group of Sabres fans and come join us. Should be somewhere in the 200s by center ice, hopefully near where Rick and Jim broadcast from

Strow Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 Those guys where gonna start if you kept looking back and saying stuff haha. I will go to the last Sabres game in Feb. since I WILL NOT go to Newark for a game. Also I wanna get a picture with Rick if this is his last season. Those 200 tickets I believe are right next to where they broadcast. Boss came sorry for typos.
Smitheo Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 I think that's right around where my seats are. Did you order tickets through the EZPass group sale offer? That's how a lot of people got theirs and while they wouldn't tell you the section they are located in the upper 200s. There's 10 of us that are going to meet up and pick an empty section to sit in.

I was just sitting there watching the game, then they started mouthing off. What was even funnier is that I was there with a Devils fan. We weren't dealing with the brightest guys in the world either. One guy just kept saying stuff like "Scott Gomez, the Sabres don't have him do they?" I don't know why, but whenever the Devils and Sabres play, I always end up with the exact same seats.

hopeleslyobvious Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 Me too. Strange. I am not kidding, the last 3 games I have had the same exact seats. Same section, row and seats. I don't have a mini-pack for the Devils, and when I go to see another team play, I get different seats.
