All Along The Watchtower Posted November 21, 2006 Report Posted November 21, 2006 Ummm...probably never. If ESPN covered the NHL, where would World Series of Poker go?
frisky Posted November 21, 2006 Report Posted November 21, 2006 Can't see hockey back on ESPN soon. Heck, they barely even acknowledge the sports existence any more. Besides, Versus is doing a better job in my opinion. I think unless there are more tectonic shifts in the television landscape, hockey will continue to reside primarily on local outlets.
wjag Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 Just after hell freezes over or the Bills win the Superbowl
Taro T Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 Just after hell freezes over or the Bills win the Superbowl Isn't that kind of the chicken and the egg question? Did the Bills win the SB because hell froze over or did hell freeze over because the Bills won the SB? Either way, it'd be pretty cool.
Two or less Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 I hope hockey becomes a good viewed sport and helps Versus become the network it wants to. Versus is doing alot to help the NHL, i wish they would add more games during the week or more Live shows, but it's a begining, i like versus and i hope NHL can stay with them for years to come.
Buffalo Wings Posted November 22, 2006 Report Posted November 22, 2006 when it becomes profitable to do so... Right....this usually happens when ESPN realizes that the fanbase is growing and they say "Hey...we want to play, too!!!"
