PTS Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 I hate Toronto, I hate Devorski, I hate losing and I hate shootouts. So I'm one pissed off person today. Still not sure why Biron was playing last night. My only guess was they were showcasing him. Miller should have played. Thrashers have been a decent team of late, we can't afford to lose again.
Stoner Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 Showcasing Marty is like showcasing Gramma's old lamp at a yard sale. It looks pretty when it's polished up, but you know someone is going to hold it up and see the duct tape on the cord. And the missing socket. :)
LabattBlue Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 In their last 9 games Atlanta has won 6 and the other 3 were OT losses. This game will not be an easy one as Atlanta has great offensive firepower. The Sabres will need to be mindful of their own end of the rink and get good goaltending to come out with a win tonight.
Stoner Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 Plus, they were sitting in Buffalo last night while the Sabres played. Kind of like when San Jose lay in wait for the Sabres a few weeks ago and shut out our boys, 5-0.

Kind of like when San Jose lay in wait for the Sabres a few weeks ago and shut out our boys, 5-0. Let's hope the loss last night fires them up for tonight. Hopefully Ruff is starting to learn his lesson about back to back games and puts Miller in.
DR HOLLIDAY Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 Showcasing Marty is like showcasing Gramma's old lamp at a yard sale. It looks pretty when it's polished up, but you know someone is going to hold it up and see the duct tape on the cord. And the missing socket. :) Seriously it sounds like you are talking about Belfour, Biron is not as bad as you make him out to be..............He was one of the better Sabres in last nights game, the team played poor defensively and gave the puck up countless time in their own zone, with minimal forechecking pressure............ B-)
Stoner Posted December 30, 2005 Report Posted December 30, 2005 I'm not saying he's bad, just that he has flaws that every GM in the league knows about based on his several years in the NHL. He's pretty average, and everyone knows it.
Sabresince70 Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 PTS - Hope the Divorski you really hate is the ref - the linesman followed us from Toronto and is doing the game again tonight!
Larry Playfair Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 big effort tonight boys, come out strong, take it to them from the start, protect in your our end, clear out the bodies in front, and breakout nicely. Lats nights defensive effort was subpar. Go Sabes!
Kristian Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 I know I've said this before, but what is Peters doing taking up a roster spot?
PromoTheRobot Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 Watching how sloppy the Sabres can be, I'm amazed they are doing as well as they are. PTR
Larry Playfair Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 came out strong, for the first 2 minutes, the prgfffffff...... this isnt gonna cut it at home on a fri night!
Stoner Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 Penalties are starting to hurt the Sabres. No chance for mo. Sabres also seem to have fallen into the habit of taking early parts of games off, expecting to flip the switch later on. Nice saves by Miller early.
Kristian Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 Just heard Briere's injury has been cofirmed as a sports hernia. Damn.
Corp000085 Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 what a friggin save by miller... the first was sloppy, but they're playing well in the 2nd... 1-0 sabres
PTS Posted December 31, 2005 Author Report Posted December 31, 2005 What a horseshit penalty. Fitzpatrick checked the guy with the puck and got a holding call on that big save by Miller? His hands never left his stick. What a joke with these tick-tack calls.
Guest Amazing Grant Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 I think even PTR can admit that Miller is playing on fire and looks leagues better than Biron did even last night (and Biron did well yesterday).
Stoner Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 RJ's going nuts on Miller's saves! Someone paint a word picture for those of us listening on radio.
DR HOLLIDAY Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 Watching the Sens vs Isles 3-3.......... B-)
Corp000085 Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 scoooooooooooooooores!! vanek powers to the net and jams it home. 2-0 in response to the miller saves, he's been all over making saves. always in position, cool, calm, and collected. i love the on ice mics by the way. lots of f bombs tonight
PTS Posted December 31, 2005 Author Report Posted December 31, 2005 Watching the Sens vs Isles 3-3.......... B-) Damn! New York was up 3-3. Ottawa is too damn good.
PromoTheRobot Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 I think even PTR can admit that Miller is playing on fire and looks leagues better than Biron did even last night (and Biron did well yesterday). Miller is stellar tonight. In fact since his return, he has looked better than Biron, even though Biron has done well for the most part. Would we want Miller in the Olympics? Is there a chance that would wear him out for the playoffs? PTR
Guest Guest Posted December 31, 2005 Report Posted December 31, 2005 I'm with you. I'd rather have Miller out of the Olympics. Not only does it keep him fresh, but he also seems to plays better when pissed off!

PTR i think he can only make the team if there's an injury before the olympics start. as for wearing him out?? i'm in agreement that he'll be worn out for the playoffs... the olympic snub is a blessing in disguise for the sabres and miller. if you want evidence, look at the 1998 games... who were the most tired sabres in the stanley cup finals?? i'd vote for shmelik, hasek, and satan... all olympians.
