nfreeman Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 So today's Buff. News has an article about our all-rookie line -- Gaustadt, Pominville and Paille. Since I missed the last 2 games (TB and NYI) due to holiday travel (btw I was sorely tempted to buy center ice at my in-laws' house and just let them discover it on their cable bill), I am left wondering whether Lindy shook up the lines following our crappy loss to the Panthers. Specifically: 1. if Gaustadt is skating with Pominville and Paille, where is Mair? 2. If Pominville is on with Gaustadt and Paille, who is skating with Connolly and Kotalik? 3. If the lines have been completely reshuffled, I'd greatly appreciate a rundown of the new combos. Bonus item: anyone care to predict who's starting in goal tonight? I'm guessing Miller. Go Sabres.
BuffalOhio Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 Mair was moved up to the Roy/Afinogenov line, and they looked good. Mair created space for the little guys. Vanek is skating with Conolly/Kotalik. Drury/Hecht/Grier is still together. I think Miller starts tonight.
inkman Posted December 29, 2005 Report Posted December 29, 2005 Here is a cool little tool from nhl.com. It's pretty telling. shift chart Looking at this, the line combos break down as follows. Grier, Drury, Hecht Roy, Mair, Afinogenov Kotalik, Connolly, Vanek Paille, Gaustad, Pominville I like the combos. :D
