envirojeff Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 OK, any Leafs player (past or present)!! Jeff
jp... Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 Say what you want about whether Ray won or lost his fights, but he would not back down from anyone. He gets bonus points for that. Agree...just in case i wasn't clear, I think Ray battled anyone, and even after the sweater rule, he actually did very well...early in his career, i remember Cherry admiring Ray because even thought he didn't win many, he always took on all comers... Ray was a decent heavyweight, imo...not the champ, but not the chump either...
chileanseabass Posted January 5, 2006 Report Posted January 5, 2006 a decent heavyweight is exactly what ray was. he didn't seem smaller than most of the guys he was fighting until his later years when you had the likes of worrell, cairns, and these other 6'5" goons in the league. the highest recorded fight total between two players throughout their careers is a tie between ray and domi, and probert and grimson with 14. talk about a rivalry!
