Whats your opinion on fighting in the NHL?

But you know damn well that is NOT what it is anymore. It's like a whole seperate thing. 17 guys play hockey and 2 guys wait around for their turn to fight and then they don't even do it well. The game has changed and it has become annoying. That's all i am saying.

 

I couldn't agree more with you on that, and that's really what it boils down to. The game is much different today than it used to be in terms of accountability. Plus back in the 70s and somewhat into the 80s the star players WERE the enforcers. You bring up a legitimate point about how enforcers in today's game are just fighting because they feel they have to, and they are usually only fighting each other. It does, to some degree, feel like a staged spectacle (probably because in some ways, it is)
