I'm assuming this is the buzz the NHL is looking for with their "crafty" new schedule

With their four games in hand, I suspect they could replace us atop of the standings temporarily at some point. They get games against: Canadiens, Bruins (A), Devils, Islanders, and Sabres (A) while the Sabres play a much tougher stretch of: Panthers, Flyers (A), Hurricanes (A), Senators, Penguins, Senators (A), Lightning and Leafs in the same number of nights. So they get five games and we get eight. By the time we play, they will only have one game in hand. That makes this a critical stretch for both teams. Good time to go on a mini rampage.

I think you misread that (or i'm reading your post wrong) 'cause WE have four games in hand not the leafs

No matter how it's worded, the Leafs are barely above .500 and should not be considered a threat at this time. They are playing better than last year but still have WAY too may question marks .

Maybe my wording was clumsy, but my intent was to say that because their record was built with four additional games, they will pass us temporarily. They have an easier schedule during this next stretch.

But hey, Toronto has finally scored more goals on the year (1) than the Sabres have.
