mediumishot Posted December 24, 2005 Report Posted December 24, 2005 sitting here watching the Tampa game, Miller is a WALL, team USA will be kicking themselves in 2006
BRH Posted December 24, 2005 Report Posted December 24, 2005 The stat they put up at the end of the game showed that Miller is 4-0 this year against DiPietro, Esche and Grahame. That says it all.
PTS Posted December 24, 2005 Report Posted December 24, 2005 I still think the hockey gods will fix this wrong before the Olympics. Miller should be the starter, let alone on the team.
Corp000085 Posted December 24, 2005 Report Posted December 24, 2005 its a blessing for him to not be on the team... 2 weeks in michigan resting for the silver vs 2 weeks in the alps working for the gold.
Taro T Posted December 24, 2005 Report Posted December 24, 2005 its a blessing for him to not be on the team... 2 weeks in michigan resting for the silver vs 2 weeks in the alps working for the gold. When all is said and done. This will be a blessing in disguise for the Sabres.
Kristian Posted December 24, 2005 Report Posted December 24, 2005 its a blessing for him to not be on the team... 2 weeks in michigan resting for the silver vs 2 weeks in the alps working for the gold. Couldn't agree more. Got a feeling we'll see a lot of guys coming back from the olympics with injuries and an empty tank.
hopeleslyobvious Posted December 24, 2005 Report Posted December 24, 2005 Couldn't agree more. Got a feeling we'll see a lot of guys coming back from the olympics with injuries and an empty tank. Combine that with the schedule after the Olympics!
jp... Posted December 24, 2005 Report Posted December 24, 2005 Hope about the fact that Team USA will be lit up this year no matter who is in net... Enjoy the rest Miller so that you can prove them wrong...
Saber61 Posted December 24, 2005 Report Posted December 24, 2005 yea i don't think team USA has quite the fire power it takes this year... especially with that weak goaltending... they'll do well but not great... not by any strech... and im not saying team canada is invincable either... we may falter as well espcially to russia or sweden.
deluca67 Posted December 25, 2005 Report Posted December 25, 2005 Combine that with the schedule after the Olympics! That's a great point. The post Olympic schedule may be the #1 reason why you keep Marty and Miller. Having two goalies will be a huge advantage for this team. That said. I don't see the Defense holding up that well during that stretch. They need to add at least one quality player on the blueline. Make it two if Kalinin doesn't come back at 100%.
nfreeman Posted December 25, 2005 Report Posted December 25, 2005 i think all of the posts above are absolutely right about rest being better than playing during the olympics. i also think that miller is going to play the 2nd half with something to prove and will be great, which is also good for the sabres. even so, i have to say that i really like the fact that everyone in the nhl would go through a wall to play for his country in the olympics. this is completely the opposite of the nba, where many of the stars can't be bothered. go sabres. miller is the man. we have our star and we are here to stay. merry xmas and happy hannukka to all.
