jp... Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 Off the top of my head, the sabres have participated in 4 shoot-outs: Tampa, Rangers, Islanders and Philly ( am i missing one?) 1.Tampa: Briere scored, Connolly lost control of the puck, Vanek squeeked it in 2. Briere scored, Kotalik scored, as soon as Drury was announced we headed for the exit ( no goal) 3. Kotalik scores on backhand ( same move as last nite), Vanek fakes the slap shot again doesn't score, Connolly wins it as it just makes it over the line 4. Kotalik no , Vanek no, Connolly yes, Afinogenov yes... So: Kotalik 2 for 3 Connolly 2 for 3 Briere 2 for 2 Vanek 1 for 3 Afinogenov 1 for 1 Drury 0 for 1
rickshaw Posted December 20, 2005 Report Posted December 20, 2005 Vanek had the goalie out to lunch against Philly. Great move, great shot, just a tad high. The goalie had no chance, and the bar almost shattered the shot was so hard. I like Vanek one on one.
jp... Posted December 20, 2005 Author Report Posted December 20, 2005 I remember thinking it was a mistake not to have in there against the Rangers after he had scored the clincher in Tampa... I think Ruff has his go to guys, but i believe he bases his choices somewhat on who is playing well that night... I could be wrong...
