kicksave11 Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 Great list! That was a fun read. I think #71 can be changed to Malkin already though. Did you see that goal last night? He appears to be the real deal.
BuffalOhio Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 Great list! That was a fun read. I think #71 can be changed to Malkin already though. Did you see that goal last night? He appears to be the real deal. He's only scored 4 goals. How many did Foligno have? I'm sure Malkin will pass that, but until he plays at least a full season, he's not better than Foligno. And yes, that goal was pretty GD amazing. Sabres better win in the next 2 years, because the Penguins are loaded.

There's more to being "great" than being pretty ... Foligno was a well-rounded player who did it for a long career .. .Malikin could get hit by a bus tomorrow. I would give #31 to Billy Smith... I think a case could be made for Dave Fenyves ... ;)
kicksave11 Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 .. .Malikin could get hit by a bus tomorrow. Then he would be a superstar who scored a goal in every game he ever played. He still wins.
Taro T Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 Potvin over Geoffrion? Get real. Bourque over Espo? Yzerman better than Ratelle AND Robinson? Nieuwendyk better than Lemaire? Shanahan better than Keon? I MIGHT give them that one, but I'd have to think about it for a while. I'm sure if I looked at the list long enough I'd find several others that SI had their head up their nether regions on.
FogBat Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 I'm sure if I looked at the list long enough I'd find several others that SI had their head up their nether regions on. That is an understatement. Phil Esposito said one time (if not more) on Home Ice that SI knows nothing about hockey. Given a legend making a statement like that, I wouldn't give it a second thought to question his judgment. He's right on. Here's a :bag: to SI. As for the Pens, they might make the playoffs this year. Methuselah doesn't appear to be playing there anymore.

USMCSnyper Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 Sorry guys...I love Max, but Rick Nash is a better 61.....
Robviously Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 84 Guillaume Latendresse  Good job, Guillaume!
Enforcer Kelley Posted October 26, 2006 Report Posted October 26, 2006 Only a matter of time before #76 gets replaced.. /nod
kicksave11 Posted October 27, 2006 Report Posted October 27, 2006 Really? That makes no sense to me. The guy has had a good week. That does not a career make. It makes perfect sense. This guys good week IS his career, so far. Come on, work with me!!
