Kristian Posted December 16, 2005 Report Posted December 16, 2005 Any chance a new coach might turn that sinking ship around, starting with The Sabres? I sure hope not, but what does anyone else think?
hopeleslyobvious Posted December 16, 2005 Report Posted December 16, 2005 Either the team is going to be a mess. Or they are going to come at us like the Sharks did. I hope the former.
GGM Posted December 16, 2005 Report Posted December 16, 2005 Well, one needs only to check out the record of the AHL team that he came from to know he's not averse to winning streaks.
mphs mike Posted December 16, 2005 Report Posted December 16, 2005 Either the team is going to be a mess. Or they are going to come at us like the Sharks did. I hope the former. My thoughts exactly when I read of Olczyk's dismissal this morning. This game could be a real test of the Sabres maturity.
Stoner Posted December 16, 2005 Report Posted December 16, 2005 Stats freaks could figure out a team's record when playing for a new coach (in season). The corollary is how players usually score a goal in their first game with a new team. Lemieux coming back also should give the Pens a spark. Factor in how we almost never play well there, and it will be a big test. Perhaps an even bigger test for Marty. The Igloo is his personal house of horrors. And Ryan is almost ready to return. Will Biron start to hear footsteps? Great for fans in PA as this game is on the Fox sports channel out of Pittsburgh. Let's go Buffalo!
jp... Posted December 16, 2005 Report Posted December 16, 2005 I keep waiting for this team to loose and it doesn't happen...not that i want them to fail, i just can't believe the way there playing...that being said, the sabres will be looking to gain at least a point, which i don't think will happen...too much going against the sabres tonite ( new coach, Biron's record in Pitt, etc)
