wjag Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 Maybe this was discussed in the off season, if so, apologize... Just looking at the schedule I noticed there were no west coast trips this year. No Sharks, no Ducks, No Stars, No Coyotes and No Kings. The AVs come to Buffalo as does Calgary, Minnesota, and Edmonton. The two furthest west trips seem to be to Chicago and Saint Louis. I guess this is a by-product of the new NHL. Strange year.
eliwhitneyradio Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 The Sabres will be playing the Northwest Division at home and visiting the Central Division teams.

If you're familiar with the NFL way of scheduling inter-conference games, the NHL way isn't that difficult to grasp, and like the NFL's, it's easy to know in the future who comes to Buffalo, and who Buffalo plays on the road. Last year, we hosted the Pacific and visited the Northwest This year, we host the Northwest and visit the Central Next year, we host the Central and visit the Pacific
