Columbus_Sabre_Fan Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 I am interested to know when everyone thinks the Sabres will lose now. 8-0 is extremely impressive and they do seem unstopable, but unfornately it will win end at some point. I am sure the game we do lose will be one with poor officiating, very bad breaks and the puck bouncing correctly for the other team at all times. Who will it be?
Eleven Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 I said Atlanta before and I'm sticking to it.
BetweenThePipes00 Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 I am going to say tomorrow at Montreal ... 3rd game in four nights, Montreal team that can skate with them and has very good special teams ... Sabres still have BIG edge in goal, so they can certainly still win this one ... just think maybe it ends here and then we can get on with the season.
bob_sauve28 Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 I have no idea, but a good question is, how many regulation time loses for the season? I'm going with 13
Screamin'Weasel Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 According to the poll posted here a few days ago (previous thread), the top 3 picks were: Carolina 10/21 (26.67%), Atlanta 10/28 (23.33%) and Montreal 10/23 (16.67%). Personally I thought Montreal and I think we will have a rough ride tomorrow. But I am not so sure now as the Sabres are on fire.
DR HOLLIDAY Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 It will not be against the leafs........... B-)
JujuFish Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 I said Atlanta before and I'm sticking to it. Ditto.
Orange Seats Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 As long as we don't lose to someone in the division, in fact, when do we play someone from the Western Conference? That would be the time to let one slip since it means we only drop 2 points into the Western playoff race, instead of letting a team in our own race get two closer to us.
BrightLights Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 Right now, the farm for me is an apartment. So I'm sticking with 82-0. ;)
jwrak Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 I see a similar correlation here. The Bills lose and the Sabres win, so I don't have a definative answer here, but my answer will be the next time the Bills win, the Sabres will lose.
FogBat Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 This one's a tough call. I say that it may be against a team that has no chance of making the playoffs this year like St Louis (and that's if we play them).

Claude Balls Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 I'm going with the next game, Montreal. Just because this post is going to be the jinx.
blugold43 Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 I'm going with the next game, Montreal. Just because this post is going to be the jinx. yeah really...the only reason i opened this thread is to bitch about it! i'm not expecting 82-0 but shee-it...
Screamin'Weasel Posted October 22, 2006 Report Posted October 22, 2006 I'm going with the next game, Montreal. Just because this post is going to be the jinx. I started this thread asking the same question before the Philly game. How much of a jinx has it proven to be?
Claude Balls Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 I started this thread asking the same question before the Philly game. How much of a jinx has it proven to be? None, because I didn't chime in bringing up the whole jinx thingy. ;) Now we're screwed. :o

I say that it may be against a team that has no chance of making the playoffs this year like St Louis (and that's if we play them). Dec. 23. And I know that only because it's the closest the Sabres will come to my home, and with two young children and a third on the way, I'm going to be very hard-pressed to make that game, for obvious reasons given its spot on the calendar.
gregkash Posted October 23, 2006 Report Posted October 23, 2006 if it's MArch 16th, the first game i'll get to go to this year, i'll be insanely mad. also, my friend said he'd give me everything he owns if the Sabres go 82-0. He has a lot of #%^$#!, I want it.
