Corp000085 Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 7:00pm a trip to boston is extra fun with playoff chump/B's captain zdeno chara anchoring the defense. How will the sabres do on a night's rest after pretty much a very bad game save the final score? who's got the start in goal? will teppo's groin hold up, or do we get paesch? will jack edwards show the money and put another hit out for danny briere? stay tuned... go to wgr550.com to get the audio, and come to our chatroom!
JujuFish Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 4-1 Buffalo. Cocky as it may be, I just don't see us losing to Boston.
hopeleslyobvious Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 I expect Marty to get the start. This has nothing to do with how Miller played last night, but due to the sheer fact that Marty should get 1 start in most back to backs. By the way...did anyone else notice this year that the more shots Miller faces, the better his performance?

This has nothing to do with how Miller played last night, but due to the sheer fact that Marty should get 1 start in most back to backs. By the way...did anyone else notice this year that the more shots Miller faces, the better his performance? yes, marty should definitely get the start. You never want to ride one guy if you have a capable backup... keeps everyone fresh. Someone else mentioned it about a week ago that miller never really looks spectacular because his positioning is so good. every shot seems to look routine. miller is a great goalie, but he needs to sit tonight... it will keep the entire team fresh. they always seem to play extra gritty when marty is put in for a game.
slapshot1619 Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 I see Marty getting the nod tonight, but don't be surprised if Miller starts both games of back to back series this season. Not saying he'll start ALL b2b games, but miller seemed to get alot of consectutive starts last year
thesportsbuff Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 i say play biron, let teppo rest and get paetsch in. im still waiting to see this kid play, he always has a spot in my heart.

Screamin'Weasel Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 Sabres:6 Bruises:3 Marty gets the nod. 3 PP goals for Buffalo tonight. Vanek continues point streak. Drury with GWG. Peters gets into a fight in the first.

BetweenThePipes00 Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 Is it game time yet? college football ain't cutting it today, it's dragging.
JujuFish Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 Here's an interesting coincidence. If we win tonight, we'll tie our best ever winning streak at the start of a season. That streak was done in 75-76. Game 6 of our streak this year, we won 9-1. Game 6 of our streak that year, we won 9-1 (against the Rangers).
Hawk Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 Cant wait to see the "Circus Freak" turned into a big freekin pretzel tonight. I hate that man!!!!  I also think MB will get the start tonight. It's been a while.
Sabresince70 Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 Here's hoping I don't have to get the nesn feed!
Kristian Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 Well, I suppose it's not a bad idea to give Biron some regular starts. Hopefully it will keep him going, and keep Miller from wearing himself out.
norfend Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 biron still sporting the blank goalie helmet
Kristian Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 Wasn't he supposed to have a new one by now?
norfend Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 i thought so... damn company dropping the ball again ;) that was a nice shot
BetweenThePipes00 Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 Just not looking real crisp tonight ... we'll see if they get their legs like they have in most games.
rsb1094 Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 I missed the last Biron start but I heard about the blank helment. He should be allowed to wear the one from last year. Anything is better then a plain jane white helment.,Who cares if its the old insignia. Just not looking real crisp tonight ... we'll see if they get their legs like they have in most games. They looked bad at the start of the Rangers game last weekend, and that turned out pretty good
Kristian Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 Basically, the first 5 games they started slowly. Only this time, they were actually up 1-0, not down 2-0.
BetweenThePipes00 Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 Nice work by Kotalik to chase that in and jump on the loose puck for the goal ... maybe that will wake him up, he didn't even look happy ... maybe ticked at getting benched ...
Kristian Posted October 21, 2006 Report Posted October 21, 2006 Hopefully so, everyone should be ticked when they are benched.
