BMWR100RT Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 My 7 year old, who only las year started reading, watched the Philly game off the Tivo box. His bed time is too early to watch the games, and he's finally wised up to the fact that games aren't just one period. So after finally watching the Philly game last night after school, he looks at me straight in the eye and says..."Dad, it keeps saying 'One team, One goal', but actually they scored nine." I tried to teach him what the slogan meant, but he just looked at me like I was nuts and said "yeah and we scored 7 against the Rangers." I can't wait til tommorrow. I'm letting him stay up as it's not a school night.
niagara66 Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 Very cool story. That's about how old I was when I started following them in '73. I remember my dad would let me sneak back down (so my little sister wouldn't get jealous) for the third period sometimes. Good job, man.
