Screamin'Weasel Posted October 19, 2006 Report Posted October 19, 2006 I saw these numbers and decided to post them here. The Sabres have so far outscored their opponents by just under 2 to 1 (GF:31, GA:16). Not bad for a team that went to shoot outs so often in the very irst few games. The Sabres lead the league in Goals For (31). The next closest is the Rangers at 25 over 7 games to Buffalo's 6. The Sabres are at number 9 on PP% (21.6% - 8 for 37). The Sabres are at number 6 on PK% (88.4% - 38 for 43). Buffalo has 3 players in the top 10 point leaders: #3T Drury (10); #4T Briere (9); #4T Afinogenov (9) Drury is tied for first in goals at 7 (with Shanahan). Briere is tied for third in assists at 7 (with 3 others). Afinogenov is tied for fourth at 6 (with 7 others). Miller is tied for first in wins at 5 (with Turco who also has one loss). Tallinder is tied for first in +/- at +7 (with Havlat and Lidstrom). Vanek is tied for second with +6 (with Modry and Sedin). Lydman is tied for third at +5 (with 12 others). Buffalo is seventh in PIM (104). Buffalo is second in shooting percentage at 15.6%. First is held by the Blackhawks at 16.5%. Buffalo is sixth in save percentage at 92.1%. Useless info, I know, but kinda interesting (at least some of it).
