I'm so glad I got the "Center Ice" package!

I was debating it and (wisely) went with it. I moved to Central Florida about 20 years ago and sort of lost touch with Sabres hockey. It wasn't easy to catch a game down here.

When I heard about the rule changes and missed hockey last year, I went with it. What a great move! I'm having a blast watching the boys and peaking in on the leafs and habs only to cheer against them. Looking forward to getting to know these players like i did in the late '70's and early '80's.

Right on target...Center Ice is the way to go. Its the only way out-of-towners can keep up. Its great watching the games and knowing they have a grate chance of winning....or coming back for the 'W' if Sabres are down a goal or two in the third. New NHL is exciting.

However...Center Ice was better a few years back when DirecTV carried Empire Sports Network.

Any way to forcast when Center Ice will show the MSG feed?

Yes - go to the center ice portion at www.indemand.com Click on the schedule tab and it shows you the carrier.

agreed... and i don't even have center ice... but when i had Direct Tv with the sports package the one year before they complelty encrypted and secured the system i really got to know the players and start to even understand some of the culture and local business in Buffalo... i still remeber "Great Skate" advertising on the post game show and Caruba Collision which is still around and Independant health... since then ive lost touch because all i can use is the radio... now to see my team i have to either go to the game which is great or wait for TSN or Sportsnet to show one... or wait for a leafs sabres game... regarldess i think ill be getting Center Ice either for the last half of the season or for all of next season.

I just got the package today....actually, it is a present....and the best one at that! So I guess I can watch the game tonight....and it's often not possible for me to get down to the arena as often as I'd like so I'm excited about this one tonight!

Clinton should feel priveledged! :D

In the Buffalo News article it says, the Stars haven't won 6 straight since the

98-99 season....I hope that doesn't come tonight and become some sort of irony...I hate irony like that

Overall, by my estimate, I've only seen a handful of MSG games with Rick and Jim. The rest is always the opposing teams feed. Which is usually terrible. Rick and Jim and so good. But at least I get to watch the games, so overall its great!!

Where is the game...I saw TSN right at the beginning and then it froze and nothing.....this is verrrrryyy verrrryyyy unpleasant

I don't know if it's the Sabres, the NHL, Comcast, or MSG or some combination of the bunch; but it looks like MSG blackouts will be blacked out this season.

It's the way the blackout policy is described on DirecTV's CI website, but it was described that way in the past as well. This game and the last blacked out one are the only 2 that were broadcast by someone that I haven't been able to get since I got CI about 3 years ago.
