Corp000085 Posted December 11, 2005 Report Posted December 11, 2005 Channel 766 on directv at 7pm est. Maybe the sabres will show the bills and the wild what a set of balls looks like.
GGM Posted December 11, 2005 Report Posted December 11, 2005 Let us hope they can save our weekend once again. It's about work ethic and heart. Sabs have it, Bills don't even understand it.
JujuFish Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 How appropriate that Vanek scores the first goal in Minnesota.
hopeleslyobvious Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 Hmm Briere is back tonight and Drury is still wearing the C...Is it just his turn or did they decide Drury is the Captain?
PTS Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 Derek Roy blocked a shot in the ankle with his skate turned out. That was dangerous. He was helped to the lockerrom. He probably had his ankle busted. Hopefully it's just stung but that was bad. We can't keep losing players, especially key players like Roy has been. Tie Game 1-1
hopeleslyobvious Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 Yeah that didn't look good!
PTS Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 Check that... it just stung bad. Roy is back.
pwner Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 Sabres are playing down to the Wild's level right now.
PTS Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 I'm recording the game. The penalty calls on Lydman and Drury were horrible.
hopeleslyobvious Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 I agree with Lydman, the funny part about that is someone was holding his stick. The call on Drury was soft, but they are calling those tight this year. There was no reason for him to hook in that situation.
mphs mike Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 Very slow, lethargic period by both teams. The ultra tight penalty calls didn't help the flow at all. $0 minutes of good hockey and we should be able to get another road win. Not only did Vanek score a nice goal, showing some persistence but he has now scored in consecutive games. Mybe, after a 1/4 season of nhl play he's starting to blossom.
Corp000085 Posted December 12, 2005 Author Report Posted December 12, 2005 seems like the sabres are playing soft tonight. i hope this is just a first period fluke and not the way the rest of the game will go.
Corp000085 Posted December 12, 2005 Author Report Posted December 12, 2005 by the way, roy came back later in the period
Corp000085 Posted December 12, 2005 Author Report Posted December 12, 2005 great offensive series by the sabres... quick whistle though. roloson let that puck roll.. his glove wasn't even down on the ice. home team discount there
Corp000085 Posted December 12, 2005 Author Report Posted December 12, 2005 briere is playing solid tonight... you'd think he might have lost a step, but the guy is money. the announcer just noted that the sabres are the #2 powerplay in the nhl...
Corp000085 Posted December 12, 2005 Author Report Posted December 12, 2005 crap... 2-1 wild... rolston scored on a deflection from a centering pass. that goal was on the defense, not biron.
pwner Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 crap... 2-1 wild... rolston scored on a deflection from a centering pass. that goal was on the defense, not biron. Uh, no. Biron didn't have his stick on the ice. He should have stopped it.
Corp000085 Posted December 12, 2005 Author Report Posted December 12, 2005 Uh, no. Biron didn't have his stick on the ice. He should have stopped it. sorry... still delerious from the undercard game. penalty on the wild then afinogenov was given a "dive"... bad bad call
pwner Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 sorry... still delerious from the undercard game. penalty on the wild then afinogenov was given a "dive"... bad bad call They called the dive too early, it should have been called against Gaborik.
Corp000085 Posted December 12, 2005 Author Report Posted December 12, 2005 i have to admit... those casino commercials are much better than "hurt in a car, call william mattar" commercials on msg
Corp000085 Posted December 12, 2005 Author Report Posted December 12, 2005 SCOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORES... looks like grier on a deflection rom mckee.. although drury was close to tipping it. 2-2 with 39 seconds left in the 2nd clutch
Corp000085 Posted December 12, 2005 Author Report Posted December 12, 2005 is there a more clutch team in the nhl right now?? granted, i don't see many other teams play besides the sabres, but i have never seen a group of players so confident and unfazed being down by a goal... maybe lindy knows what he's doing after all
GGM Posted December 12, 2005 Report Posted December 12, 2005 That, and the number of "ugly" goals they get. Working matters, kids.
