chileanseabass Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 just like they did during the playoffs last season, comcast is offering up to two live games online everynight. sabres and red wings are featured tonight, so if you don't have center ice (like me) you can check it out. http://www.comcast.net/sports/nhl/hockeylive/
All Along The Watchtower Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 That's pretty nice of them...may make me change my opinion of cable in general and Comcast in particular....um, on second thought: No. :D
JCBoston Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 During the playoffs one could watch even if you weren't a Comcast customer. Now, it looks like you have to be a customer in order to log in
RayFinkle Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 thanks for the FYI. I have been too lazy to get center ice, and it looks like I can wait another day before I have to pony up to Time Warner.
apuszczalowski Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 TSN in Canada also has the game on Tonight, Just an FYI to the Canadian fans
gilbert1175 Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 I'm in Pittsburgh and a Comcast customer - they actually showed games online the whole year and it was a blessing for me. anyway - if anyone isn't a comcast customer and want a comcast login, PM me and I'll give you the info for one of my accounts - they give you 10 logins at comcast, so it's no biggie for me. I'll be offline for a bit after I post this, but will log back on a bit before game time and will send along then.

I've had Comcast for over 2 years now and the service has been pretty damn good.
JujuFish Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 As I mentioned in the other thread, it's being streamed on Yahoo.com as well. No need to borrow someone's Comcast account.

They were talking on Home Ice on XM yesterday that the NHL is considering putting all the games on the internet like MLB.
JujuFish Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 They were talking on Home Ice on XM yesterday that the NHL is considering putting all the games on the internet like MLB. I was hoping they'd do so. I'd be one of the first in line to order it, if they did. That would be awesome.

JujuFish Posted October 13, 2006 Report Posted October 13, 2006 Anyone have an idea what the quality is like on the MLB package? I had a two week trial about a year ago. If I recall correctly, it was fairly similar to the quality of the streamed NHL playoff games last year.
