Bmwolf21 Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 Connolly. Expected absolutely nothing from him last October, now I can't wait for him to return. Gotta agree with this - I think most of us figured last year would be his last year in a Sabres uniform, and he would be traded off or not re-signed, but when healthy, he was as dangerous as anyone on the team, and he took a lot of pressure off Drury and Briere. On a side note, it wouldn't be fair not to mention Darcy and Tommy G in the "changed my mind" category. Going into last year, with no real big moves to be excited about, and letting Satan and Zhitnik walk for nothing, I was not expecting much out of the team. But Darcy's "plan" to let the young guys come up and make an impact, combined with Tommy G signing off on the expanded payroll after they proved themselves, has really changed my overall impression of the team's off-ice leadership.
jwrak Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 Pominville. Had never heard of him last year, now everybody knows his name, I'd say that his play definately has progressed the most.
Alaska Darin Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 Rory Fitzpatrick - because he left. I'm sure I said "fuggin' Rory" about 200 times last year.
