Claude_Verret Posted October 6, 2006 Author Report Posted October 6, 2006 Ok. Sanity check here. Am I the only one who finds this bush league at best? Raising the banner again, are you kidding me?
Bmwolf21 Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 Maybe its 41 nights of partying there... Maybe they'll do a mid-season party to fire up the troops...
hopeleslyobvious Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 Maybe it's for all the people who believed them when they said the game was sold out.
Chilly Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 Well, since they lost their real stanley cup banner raising, they gotta keep trying till they win one!
Screamin'Weasel Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 Ok. Sanity check here. Am I the only one who finds this bush league at best? Raising the banner again, are you kidding me? I am sure they are doing the duece because, to quote thier website, "Opening Night sold out in an instant."
TheYearisNow06 Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 Starving for love... kinda sad. I guess they probably want to have a win to go with an opening/revealing night
Bmwolf21 Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 And the hockey gods have spoken, saying thou may celebrate your title with ONE night of celebration and praise; the Hurricanes, so proud of their title, decided to defy the hockey gods by raising the banner on a second separate occasion. Angered by Carolina's arrogance, the hockey gods responded mightily, sending the Devil(s) to exact vengeance, as NJ goes about pasting the Canes (up 4-0 with1:30 to go in the 3rd...)

Orange Seats Posted October 7, 2006 Report Posted October 7, 2006 Putting the trophies on display for fans is understandable, but raising the banners again is lame as all hell, especially since the hockey press has been mocking them already for their 4:00 minute raising the first time.
