X. Benedict Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 It looks like Rory Fitzpatrick is solidly in Vancouvers 3rd defensive pairing - another mans junk... he was plus 1. JP Dumont netted a goal for Nashville. Mike Grier skated 15 shifts for San Jose and was -1. Jay McKee didn't dress. Taylor Pyatt played in Vancouver - nothing of note.

That Nashville game was crazy - what was the final, 8-6? Sounds about right for Grier and Pyatt - especially Pyatt's "nothing of note." Also note that Curtis Brown had the GWG for San Jose...Dom looked like he struggled on a couple shots for Detroit...
chileanseabass Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 let's not forget about doug janik in tampa. he skated as the 7th defenseman last night. he made a huge impression in camp though, considered by tortorella to be one of the best skaters and one of the best dmen.
elcrusho Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 I liked Janik.... Hey ChileanSeaBass - You going to the Dec 5th game in Tampa!?? I will be there in the 200 level somewhere...
shrader Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 I talked to one Sharks fan yesterday who really enjoyed watching Grier. He's on a line with Ville Nieminen and they hit everything that moves.

TheYearisNow06 Posted October 6, 2006 Report Posted October 6, 2006 J.P. will be missed, but I think we're good without.
