Larry Playfair Posted December 2, 2005 Report Posted December 2, 2005 My organizational source tells me he has the same injury as McNabb - sports hernia - and is likely done for a long time. Also this from the Buff news. http://buffalonews.com/editorial/20051202/1062380.asp
Saber61 Posted December 2, 2005 Report Posted December 2, 2005 My organizational source tells me he has the same injury as McNabb - sports hernia - and is likely done for a long time. Also this from the Buff news. http://buffalonews.com/editorial/20051202/1062380.asp well thats just great :(.... is it a permanent injury that could almost become career ending or is it still recoverable?
Larry Playfair Posted December 2, 2005 Author Report Posted December 2, 2005 not sure, but from reading up on mcnabb, its correctable but requires surgery, and a long rehab and recovery.
JujuFish Posted December 2, 2005 Report Posted December 2, 2005 From ESPN: If surgery is necessary, Dumont would be lost for up to three months, and probably wouldn't be available until after the Olympic break in mid-February. Link
inkman Posted December 2, 2005 Report Posted December 2, 2005 Am I the only a#$^$#!e who thinks this might be a good thing. I don't like JP's game that much. He's a PP specialist who can barely skate and is constantly getting manhadled around the puck. Our PP seem okay without him so why should we worry? I like Pominville better anyway. :D
jp... Posted December 2, 2005 Report Posted December 2, 2005 For the first time since he was traded to Buffalo, I am beginning to think this team can do without Dumount...not because their winning, just because I haven't liked much from this guy in the past few seasons, including this year's games...i know he had some goals, but i just think his time here is up...Briere would be better suited with someone else.
inkman Posted December 2, 2005 Report Posted December 2, 2005 Any idea who? Vanek Briere Pyatt Vanek Briere Gaustad Hecht Briere Afinogenov Briere Connolly Vanek I like the sound of the last one but I'm not sure id DB could play wing and How many holes would that leave in our lineup? The other three lines as our roster is currently constituted would look something like: Hecht Drury Grier Kotalik Roy Afingenov/Thorburn Mair Gaustad Peters Doesn't look so bad and our #1 line would be tits. (thats good) ;)
Sabresince70 Posted December 2, 2005 Report Posted December 2, 2005 how about: Kotalik Briere Pominville Vanek Roy Afinogenov Hecht Drury Grier Mair Guastad ? and 7 def.
Larry Playfair Posted December 7, 2005 Author Report Posted December 7, 2005 http://buffalonews.com/editorial/20051207/1062570.asp The Buffalo Sabres have been able to win without J.P. Dumont the past 21/2 weeks. They'll now have to do it for about 21/2 months. Miller to be back next week or so.
Saber61 Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 Dumont never really shined here... he was a decent pick up and was given an opportunity that he probably never really got in Chicago... but never made much of it under ruff unfortunatly... i think he's startin to score goals now and make plays... very effective on the powerplay but less so on even strength
chileanseabass Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 I'd like to see them roll with: Hecht - Briere - Pominville Kotalik - Connolly - Vanek Roy - Drury - Afinogenov Mair - Gaustad - Grier
mphs mike Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 I'd like to see them roll with: Hecht - Briere - Pominville Kotalik - Connolly - Vanek Roy - Drury - Afinogenov Mair - Gaustad - Grier I like those lines. I don't think you want Vanek and Afinogenov together. I think Drury is the correct center for Max.
Seannie34 Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 yea i think Grier should be a fourth liner.. he isnt doing much playing with Drury and he just doesnt have the speed for the game. maybe if he was on the fourth line he might start hitting someone every once in awhile.
