matter2003 Posted September 24, 2006 Report Posted September 24, 2006 I have to admit, I would love to see this team stop blowing 2 goal leads, but there is something to be said about allowing the opponents to come back, score 3 straight goals to take the lead, get their home crowd buzzing, and then completely and utterly slam the door in their face in the final 20 minutes by totally dominating them. It happened in the Ottawa game, and again it happened in Pittsburgh. In Pittsburgh tho, it started in the second period where we just basically decided to make their goalie a human target practice. I am really excited to see that we are outshooting teams badly in all of the games we played, and I am certain that we will start putting away a lot more chances once we get a few more games in. Even in the one loss in Columbus we had over 40 shots on goal and only an unbelievable performance by their goalie kept the game from being closer. This team just seems like it thrives on going into hostile environments, letting the other teams take the momentum and then silencing both the crowd and the other team...I LOVE that about them... I have a feeling that this team will be even better than last years team and that is saying a lot...
DR HOLLIDAY Posted September 24, 2006 Report Posted September 24, 2006 I am interested in seeing which rookies will step up and make the roster......... B-)
