SHAAAUGHT!!! Posted September 16, 2006 Report Posted September 16, 2006 I think it is great that Peters shed around 20 pounds and Vanek lost 6-8 lbs (I don't think I can call him Fatty V anymore). I was hoping that this would happen so Peters can be quicker on his feet, skate longer shifts, and be able to stick handle better. It sounds like they both came to play this year and Peters will hopefully be able to partially fill in the role of the power forward that we lost in Pyatt and Grier. I hope Vanek is this years Tim Connolly. If he gets a lot of time on the first two lines he could have some gaudy numbers this year. Man it feels good to be able to talk about real hockey stuff again.... http://www.niagara-gazette.com/sports/loca..._259003815.html http://www.buffalonews.com/editorial/20060...?tbd1049220.asp
inkman Posted September 16, 2006 Report Posted September 16, 2006 Whoever calls Peters "AnJuice" is going to need to come up with a new nickname.
WanderingEye Posted September 17, 2006 Report Posted September 17, 2006 "Andro Peters" was a good one too. At least he's trying to get better. I think he realizes it's pretty much sink or swim for him now in the NHL, he has to prove he can do something other than fight since the "goon" type player is going the way of the dinosaur in the league.
