LabattBlue Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 Where's the best place to drink in Niagar Falls, Canada? ...at the Canadian Ballet! :o ;)
elcrusho Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 There is a cool sports bar on Clifton Hill...
Wild Jay Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 SUNDOWNERS Not unless you want super overpriced beer (and not the best selection either). Don't get me wrong, the view is great, but if you're just looking for a good bar for drinking, then strip clubs aren't the way to go. I'd go with one of the bars on Clifton Hill. Boston Pizza is probably the best of the bunch.
Buffalo Tendencies Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 What kind of question is this? Jump off the edge....
Two or less Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 SUNDOWNERS Right on. What you do is, pre-game at your car or hotel, like 7 til 10, get hammered, go to sundowners 10-12 drink a shot and a beer, enjoy your time, then while you're in awesome mood, go hit up clubs on the strip, like marti gras and get chicks cuz at that point you're horny and wasted!
shrader Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 Or you could be old like the rest of us and not have to leave the country.
apuszczalowski Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 There is a cool sports bar on Clifton Hill... That would be the Boston Pizza It all depends what you are looking for, cheap drinks in a regular bar, or entertainment too. The Boston Pizza isn't bad cause its a full bar (moderatly priced) that serves food and has an arcade (must be 19 to enter after 9) that has some cool games to play (especially when your a little tipsy) If you don't mind paying an arm and a leg for a bottle of domestic beer, but want a good show, the Sundowner can't be beat (Eric Moulds gave it 2 thumbs up), but then there is also Mints (closer to the falls) and there is also the new penthouse club (farther down Lundy's lane) A good place after you've finished drinking and hunger strikes you is the casino. Got to the Fallsview after midnight (or it could be 1) til around 4 and you can get a Buffet for about $12 canadian, with free beverages (not the alcohol kind though) If your into the club scene, there is also rumors on clifton hill, never been in their personnally and don't ever plan too
MiggityMJW Posted August 17, 2006 Author Report Posted August 17, 2006 Or you could be old like the rest of us and not have to leave the country. For the record, I'm going up there with my 20 year old brother for his birthay...I just haven't drank up there in a very long time and was looking for some input.
deluca67 Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 The best place is the back seat of a car with a 40 oz and a hooker

That's the only way to do it - you won't get bent over and screwed by the strip club while you're trying to get wasted, and as a bonus, since you're drunk, all the girls will be even hotter...;) That would be the Boston Pizza It all depends what you are looking for, cheap drinks in a regular bar, or entertainment too. Its been a while since we've been there, but IIRC, prices weren't too bad, and the food was pretty good, plus some TVs to watch sports. Its on Victoria Ave; again, IIRC, you head up Clifton Hill to Victoria, turn right, and its on the left about a block or so down. (Wild Mushroom Sports Bar-Grill, 5633 Victoria Ave, Niagara Falls, ON, L2G 3L5, 905-357-2788)

The place used to be crawling with Canadian girls looking to meet American guys. Then Gusto featured the Wild Mushroom one time and pointed this out to the general public in WNY and after that it was about 5 to 1 guys to girls in the place.

Personnally to just go to a bar to drink, I prefer to go a little farther down the QEW to Port Dalhousie or St. Catharines to the bars there to drink. Alot of good bars to go in, watch a local live band and have some cheap drinks, and even some places to go drink and dance if your into those places. Plus it usually isn't crammed with tourists like clifton hill always is. As for the "Pre-Drink" before a strip club, we do that all the time even before going to a regular bar. We usually meet a someones house about an hour before going out, have a couple drinks to get a buzz and then head out. Keeps the cost down a bit at the bar.

Come on, Rumors is a GREAT place to see lots of local chicks...no tourists there... <_< Anyway its been about 12 years since me & my friends frequented the north side of the border...I think the last time I went over there was before my wedding, three years ago, since my youngest brother was only 20 at the time. When we did go to clubs, we usually hit Daily Planet, CIty Limits, and once in a blue moon, Rumors (only if absolutely necessary.) Like I said, things could have changed a lot in the last 12 years, but we used to go to Wild Mushroom to watch boxing fights, or the occasional hockey game. It was a good place to go if you were looking for food & sports, and not too expensive.
Quickdraw Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 I always thought the IBH (International Beer House) was pretty decent. You can get "The Monster", a 32oz. mug of beer. You have to turn in your license for collateral though.
The_Swannie_House Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 Back in the late 90's we used to pump it up at PUMPS, Wild Mushroom, City Limits, Daily Planet and don't forget Jack's Cantina (my personal favorite) on the top of Clifton Hill
Two or less Posted August 17, 2006 Report Posted August 17, 2006 Or you could be old like the rest of us and not have to leave the country. im 22... and their strip clubs are better then ours and their girls are much easier then the ones in rochester.... besides, when u go like an hour and a half to party, you can be a little bit more careless then doing it at clubs where you visit once a week. lol

That place had an outdoor patio, right? Then off to 'downers or Rumours depending on the company! But, speaking of St. Catherines, what was the strip bar that used to be just along QEW on the way towards or right around St. Catherines? I remember it being the true Holy Grail of the the NF ballets....Private Eyes, maybe? Also, when coming back stateside, anyone remember Club Exit!?!??! I'm talking about 15 years on that one - $15 drink-n-drown on Fridays using your library card to get in!!!

Yup, Private Eyes is right off the QEW, there's actually 2 of them, on technically in Niagara on the lake, right at the start of the St. Catharines Skyway off the QEW and the other one is just into St. Catharines.
