slapshot1619 Posted August 16, 2006 Report Posted August 16, 2006 Maybe its just me but while reading the Dane Jackson Article from the D&C I kinda lol ed at the part... "Jackson has experience as an assistant coach and head coach. He was an assistant with the AHL's Manchester Monarchs in 2003-04 and '04-05 and last season took over as coach of the Frostbite in January. " He replaced Marc Potvin, who committed suicide. The Frostbite went 25-12-4 under Jackson. :o  "He walked into a terrible situation, as tough a situation as anyone ever walked into, and he did a great job," Melrose said. "I loved him. He was a take-charge guy right from the start. With his mindset and hunger, he'll only get better." That was totally unexpected
fushetti Posted August 18, 2006 Report Posted August 18, 2006 Yeah that was kinda big news (well as big as any hockey news can be here in the Capital/Lake George Region). The coach of the team killed himself on a road trip or something. I forget the actual circumstances.. http://www.sportsnetwork.com/default.asp?c.../BRN3998705.htm
