X. Benedict Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 Story in the Buffalo News says he got the news right after his gradfather's funeral ... http://buffalonews.com/editorial/20060809/1059826.asp Ugh ... damn. those two pieces in the Buffalo News today tugged the old heartstrings. Godspeed, JP. Thanks for the memories.
apuszczalowski Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 I'm sure he already had an idea that they were not going to sign that ruling so i doubt it was a surprise to him. Just sucks that the timing of the entire situation cam at that time in his life (attending a funeral for his grandfather)
Peter Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 I like JP. I feel bad for him. I just wish that there was some way to keep him on the Sabres.
Fronz1103 Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 J.P. you and your "fluttering biscuit" goal will not be soon forgotten....what J.P. did as part of this team electrified a city and its fans w/ that one goal.... Thank you, and Good Luck to J.P.!
DR HOLLIDAY Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 Yeah I hope things work out for him and I wish him all the sucess in the world, unless he is playing the Sabres......... B-)
rickshaw Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 Out here on the West Coast, my number 2 team would be wise to try and find $ to sign JP. Dumont and the Sedins would be a sweet line I'd bet. The only thing is, he'd have to sign for around $1.9 or that wouldn't happen either. JP was a good cat. I hope he goes West!
Stoner Posted August 9, 2006 Report Posted August 9, 2006 Now this is what I like to see! Nice thoughts and memories of a good guy and a good player. Not "this is good news."
