LabattBlue Posted July 27, 2006 Report Posted July 27, 2006 From tsn.ca... Jaroslav Spacek Signed a multi-year deal $3.225 million Chris Drury $3.154 million Teppo Numminen Signed a one-year deal $2.6 million Jochen Hecht $2.35 million Ales Kotalik Signed a $7 million, three-year deal $2.33 million Toni Lydman Signed a four-year deal for $11.5 million $2.3 million Martin Biron Signed a one-year deal $2.1 million Henrik Tallinder Signed a four-year deal $1.6 million Brian Campbell Signed a two-year, $3-million deal $1.25 million Thomas Vanek $942,400 Derek Roy Accepted one-year qualifying offer $841,890 Jason Pominville Signed a three-year deal worth $3.1 million $800,000 Nathan Paetsch Accepted one-year qualifying offer $495,000 Andrew Peters Signed a one-year deal $460,000 Add in Briere at 5 mil and you are up to 29+ mil. Yet to go...Max, Dumont, Connolly, Gaustad, Mair, Miller & Kalinin. That would be 22 players. I'm not sure how many have to count against the cap, but I will take a wild guess and say that in order to retain all these players, Tommy G's purse strings are going to have to open wide enough to pull out 40+ million. I believe what will happen is either Briere or a couple of other players get traded or Darcy will walk away from arbitration awards.

My guess is that Max and Dumont will be gone, Connelly won't make that much, maybe $1.5 million and Miller will get $4 million in a long term deal. The other guys probably won't command hug saleries.
