Knightrider Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 Just wondering if anything is being reported locally... EDIT: And I'm asking a dumb question. I should read and listen better.
phSabres84 Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 No decision has to be made until 48hrs after the Sabres last arbitration hearing, which right now is Adam Mair's scheduled for August 4th
BetweenThePipes00 Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 The deadline is not 48 hours from when the decision is announced ... the Sabres have until 48 hours after their LAST arbitration decision ... Mair is scheduled for Aug. 4 ... we may no know for a couple weeks what the deal is with Briere ... It is set up this way so the teams have the whole picture before they decide who to cut loose or who to keep. Makes sense, knowing what all these other guys get will affect the decision.

nfreeman Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 Darcy has explicitly stated that this is their plan -- ie wait until all arbitration decisions are in and then decide on everything.
IKnowPhysics Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 I know he'll be signed. I don't know if he'll be traded.
