apuszczalowski Posted July 22, 2006 Report Posted July 22, 2006 So they are dealing with 2.5 million over 5 years? C'mon, .5 mil a year isn't going to get us anyone else, it wouldn't even resign Peters
sabregoats Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 I really hope they sign him if that is the difference b/w them.
deluca67 Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 I really hope they sign him if that is the difference b/w them. You think Briere and his 60 points a year is worth $5 million a year?
inkman Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 You think Briere and his 60 points a year is worth $5 million a year? No but his hypothetical injury free projected stats year could be worth it. ;)
IKnowPhysics Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 You think Briere and his 60 points a year is worth $5 million a year? I think his work ethic, leadership, and point per game in the new NHL is worth $5M.
bob_sauve28 Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 You think Briere and his 60 points a year is worth $5 million a year? I do. He's a point a game guy.
SDS Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 what percentage of DB's points were bottom feeding? How well did he do against the NHL elite teams? Did he score the 6th goal in a 5 goal route or did he pop in the GTG and GWGs???

X. Benedict Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 what percentage of DB's points were bottom feeding? How well did he do against the NHL elite teams? Did he score the 6th goal in a 5 goal route or did he pop in the GTG and GWGs??? It is not such a bad question, but I don't remember Danny scoring many goals in lopsided contests. Just an aside, but he has never had a hat-trick.
Taro T Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 You think Briere and his 60 points a year is worth $5 million a year? It doesn't matter what any of us think he's worth. All that matters is what the Arbitrator thinks. According to TSN, she thinks he's worth $5MM/yr.

According to TSN, she thinks he's worth $5MM/yr. The arbitrator thinks Danny is worth more than 10% of the possible payroll. Ouch. This is going to force the organization into some tough decisions. I think Max or Danny will have to go.
SDS Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 Do tell us the answer!!!!! I don't know the answer, but it is worth finding out.

IKnowPhysics Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 His split stats are readily available. They're impressive. Edit: Boooooo auto-formatting!
inkman Posted July 23, 2006 Report Posted July 23, 2006 http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=172126&hubname=nhl I hope the Sabres accept it Yikes! :o I don't like the sound of this.
