Corp000085 Posted November 13, 2005 Author Report Posted November 13, 2005 vanek had a couple good scoring chances. this team is just so soft and weak tonight. no heart. however, they can still make a statement with a period and 3 minutes to go
Corp000085 Posted November 13, 2005 Author Report Posted November 13, 2005 statement made heatly scores on a pretty 2 on 1 shorthanded. biron throws stick to center ice in disgust, or in a 5 second delayed save attempt
notwoz Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 James Bond's Golden Eye is on Bravo if anyone cares. Seeing Emery in goal tonight (he was in goal last game too, i think) reminds me of the previous two or three seasons when it seems that every team in the league felt comfortable playing their second string goalie against the Sabres. It seems that every Sabres opponent is totally conemptuous of the Sabres offensive abilities, with good reason. Why oh why do i keep signing up for Center Ice. Every year i renew, hoping that the Sabres will be worth watching and every year I'm prfoundly disappointed. Isn't insanitydefined as doing the same thing over and over again, hoping that you'll see a different outcome?
Corp000085 Posted November 13, 2005 Author Report Posted November 13, 2005 this team really sucks, especially with their metrosexually renamed defensemen. 5-0 senators after the 2nd period

Saber61 Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 ive got a smile on my face... my expectations were nothing today... i thought to myself... if we lose by only 3 or 4 goals thats a good performance in my book... theres no reason to get your hopes up because we beat the leafs the day before... i knew this was coming at least its not 10 yet.
notwoz Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 No, it's not 10 -- yet The way the sabres are playing tonight the senators can go home right now and still win the game 5-4. I yearn for the old days with Hockey Hotline, I loved ragging on the Sabres in my drunken stupors
notwoz Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 So am I the last person left on this thread?
Saber61 Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 nono im still here laughing at the fact that biron is still in net... poor bastard... tried so hard the last few games and now being hung out to dry like laundry... fact is he's not drying... its raining... only on him though lol....
notwoz Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 Personally I think that Biron should stay in for the entire game. I'm a big believer in humiliation and degradation. that's why I'm a Sabres fan.
Corp000085 Posted November 13, 2005 Author Report Posted November 13, 2005 6-0 sens now... biron should retire after this game edit: i personally can't wait for marty to be traded so he can freely speak of the treatment he's receiving by the sabres.
Corp000085 Posted November 13, 2005 Author Report Posted November 13, 2005 and the comeback begins. derek roy brings the good guys within 5
notwoz Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 Hallelujah -- at least it's not as hutout
Taro T Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 On the plus side, the Sabres don't play these guys again until February. (Also on the plus side, they scored A goal.) On the downside, when the playoff races heat up, they play Ottawa twice in late March and twice in April. Actually, that may work out in the Sabres favor if Ottawa has locked itself into a particular seeding (1 or 2) and they may have nothing to play for in April.
notwoz Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 the way things are going, the Sabres probably won't have anything to play for in April either.
Corp000085 Posted November 13, 2005 Author Report Posted November 13, 2005 they'll be better when they get miller back and can work a goalie trade.
Corp000085 Posted November 13, 2005 Author Report Posted November 13, 2005 hopefully ruff will give the "did we give up when the germans bombed pearl harbor?" speech after the game.
Corp000085 Posted November 13, 2005 Author Report Posted November 13, 2005 ok boys, i'm out... what a crappy game 6-1 final
Saber61 Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 haha yea i can't wait for the post game show tonight... i hope they rip into them SOOOO Bad... it'll make me feel better at least.
Stoner Posted November 13, 2005 Report Posted November 13, 2005 Corp, what exactly do you think the two-headed Mika Bironen is worth on the trade market? And throw in Marty's Mr. Microphone.
